Tessa Farmer was born in 1978 in Birmingham, UK and is an artist based in London. She received her BA in 2000 and her MA in 2003 from the Ruskin, Oxford.
In 2007 she undertook a residency at the Natural History Museum in London. Her work is in collections worldwide, including those of the Saatchi Gallery, the Ashmolean Museum and the David Roberts Collection.

"Tessa's miniscule sculptures reinvigorate a belief in fairies: not the sweet Tinkerbell image in popular conscience, but a biological, entomological, macabre species translating pastoral fable into nightmarish lore. Constructed from bits of organic material, such as roots, leaves, and dead insects, each of Tessa's figures stand barely 1 cm tall, their painstakingly intricate detail visible only through a magnifying glass.

What an experience~
Of course as a designer I was amazed by the installation and the collaboration with the visuals but the music and the way that Amon is grading the mood completes a show like ISAM.

The film
"Kitty & Lala," illustrates the diverse, personal, and emotional role that technology plays in the everyday visual life of two young Chinese wedding photographers - Kitty and Lala - whose photo blog is one of the most popular in China.

The film also sheds light on changing attitudes towards traditional Chinese culture by the post-1980s generation, who combine respect for their heritage with individuality and creativity.\

 

‘Kitty & Lala’ is part of Intel’s Visual Life campaign promoting the new 2nd Generation Intel Core™ Processor family.

Designed in conjunction with Blasthaus, VSquared Labs, Vita Motus Design, Leviathan and others.
