Pillow Talk - An Interaction Design Project

Pillow Talk is a project aiming to network long distance lovers. Each lover has a pillow and a chest sensor which they wear to bed at night. Their chest sensor wirelessly transmits and communicates with the other persons pillow. When each person goes to bed, their lovers pillow begins to glow softly to indicate their presence. Placing your head on the pillow allows you to hear the real-time heartbeat of your lover.

The result is an intimate interaction between two lovers, regardless of the distance between them.
I find that so cute
I want one!Any offers??

Songdo a pop-up city

A MASTER PLAN INSPIRED BY THE WORLD
On the mudflats of the Yellow sea, a futuristic city is rising fast that you can't even imagine it unless you have visited it.
Photographer Piero Ferrari and Writer John Arlidge made a trip and document that extremely green, hi-tech utopia of South Korea.I feel so pleased that i crushed on the Wallpaper magazine last day in the book store and had the chance to read about that 'phenomenon' or a nightmare for some others maybe, but for Gale(inspirator Songdo) is an epically ambitious trick.

'We want to crack the code of urbanism , then replace it.We want to built at least 20 Songdos ourselves.'he says.
He want to built instant cities from scratch , package them in a box and sell them for
$40 bn.

Retrospective

For those who never herd about Mathew Barney!or seen any of the Cremaster series...

The Cremaster Cycle is an epic art project consisting of five feature length films, together with related sculptures, photographs, drawings, and artist's books; it is the best-known work of American visual artist and filmmaker Matthew Barney.
The Cremaster Cycle was made over a period of eight years (1994–2002) and culminated in a major museum exhibition organized by Nancy Spector of the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York City, which traveled to the Museum Ludwig in Cologne and the Musée d'art Moderne in Paris from 2002-03. Barney's longtime collaborator Jonathan Bepler composed and arranged the soundtracks for the films.

Anders Krisar is a swedish artist currently based in stockholm, his work deals with a variety of subjects
including the human body. in his recent body of work, krisar has concentrated on photography and
sculptures, especially modified faces and body parts.

Some want them 'sick'but for me is what he exactly refers : the source is unknown, the outline indistinct. But the sense of something happening, the sense of some unknown drama is taking place,an apparent everywhere in the image..
Photographers please learn sth!!
And i am talking to you that you think that you are making ART!

Cityscope by Marco Hemmerling

Cityscope by Marco Hemmerling
German designer Marco Hemmerling has created a faceted installation in Cologne, Germany, called Cityscope that reflects fragments of surrounding buildings.
Cityscope by Marco Hemmerling
At night the reflective, colour-distorting film on its surface becomes transparent and the structure is lit from within.

Cityscope – urban kaleidoscope

The installation „cityscope“ deals with the fragmented perception of urban spaces. The bevelling structure can be seen as an urban kaleidoscope, that reflects fragmented views on the city and composes at the same time a three-dimensional image of the surrounding facades.
While moving around the sculpture the images, that reflect on the triangulated envelope, continuously change. In that way the beholder becomes an integral part of the installation and its complex reflections.
