Lights are blinding my eyes

I referred to James Turrell some time ago in one of my posts but this guy is amazing and his work fascinated me.It is an opportunity now with his new exhibition to mention him again!

James Turrell light and colour installations in Sweden.


One of the worldʼs greatest artists within light, colour and space, James Turrell, has constructed a number of new works. They are together with works from earlier periods exhibited under the title THE LIGHT INSIDE in Järna, south of Stockholm. The show has opened May 15 and will be open daily from 10:00 -18:00 untill october 2 nd.

Transformation Parking gararages

Case-study Jaarbeuparking garage in Utrecht.
The assignment was first to take a closer look and analyze the parking garage on the basis of one example, the
Jaarbeursplein in Utrecht. Secondly to develop spatial strategies for filling the socio cultural lack of these existing building types.
My analysis part was based on flexibility(The parking garage as universal flexible column system can be seen as anuniversal building in modern cities. How flexible is the system?)
The flexibility analysis was completed in collaboration with Sofia Galaraga.

 

 After the analysis the decision was to crate a game.A treasure hunting game which the only tools you need is a UV pen to write the clues on any possible surfaces, a map of the garage and a UV light torch to detect the hidden clues.
